Easy One-Layer Chocolate Afternoon Cake
This fudgy, single layer chocolate cake is a replacement for the banana cake recipe in the book this week. The recipe was posted on Sarah Kieffer’s The Vanilla Bean Blog. It falls into the category of one-bowl bakes and is a perfect substitute for those that don’t love a banana cake. The coffee in the cake batter comes through in a subtle way and the chocolate frosting is the perfect amount of silky smooth to the top.
