I always have a Jen Kingwell quilt in process. I am currently working on Wensleydale from the book Quilt Recipes by Jen Kingwell. The challenge for this quilt is to work out of my stash of orange, yellow and brown bins – none of these colors are in my comfort zone. The goal is to piece two blocks a week and I am 40 blocks complete.
I think I have successfully avoided looking too much like candy corn at this point. For the last 20 blocks, I am going to sort through what is left in my stash and set aside some pieces for the block centers and outside rounds. I feel like I have a nice mix as I go forward to the end.
